The main purpose of the group is to collaborate and support each other as we serve refugees in Austin. We do this by:
- Networking and sharing resources and best practices through monthly meetings.
- Creating training and informational workshops for refugees, asylees, asylum seekers and victims of trafficking.
- Creating workshops and educational opportunities to the agencies and individuals who work with refugees.
- Working together on the annual World Refugee Day celebration in June at the Bob Bullock Texas History Museum.
- Communicating and sharing information through the monthly electronic newsletter.
